Classes Available

classes! We have a great variety of classes to offer our visitors!

Classes are a way that we can connect our visitors with the local community for cultural experiences. Bread baking class and metal working are taught in nearby homes where students participate in the family comida (mid-day meal) and are exposed to village life. Tortilla and salsa class, plant propagation class, wood carving, and pine needle basket weaving class bring our local friends to the Bosque for morning or afternoon classes outside on the terraza.

Papermaking class and photography class are taught by residents and are free of charge.

Our visitors and volunteers occasionally offer classes. Depending on when you come, you may experience group meditation, yoga, a temezcal (traditional sauna), capoeira, silk screening, macrame, net making, knitting, starting fires with sticks, instrument making, Spanish and English lessons, or walking on stilts. We welcome you to teach classes or lead workshops and activities while you are here!
